Fresh & Tasty

Popup Rochester Farmers Market

They'll be back! Rochester Farmers Market vendors are bringing their winter market to FEAST! on Dec. 7. Of over 100 members, RDFM hosts around 25-40 vendors on winter Saturdays at Graham Park (Olmsted County Fairgrounds), with holiday-themed markets Dec. 14 & 21.
At FEAST! you'll find up to a dozen farmers. You'll also see RFM produce as part of the Vegetable Alfombra and the Kids' Choice Veggie Sampling!

Farmers Markets are a great place for kids to witness the variety of colorful produce from our region and see the people responsible for that bounty. RFM also hosts The Power of Produce (PoP) Club incentive program for children, where children ages 4 to 12 receive a $2 token to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables. Kids participating in the veggie sampling in the kids' area will have a chance to win PoP tokens!

PoP Club engages children at farmers markets and empowers them to make healthful food choices! To learn more, visit the RFM info desk at FEAST!

What does "local" mean to you?

PRIZE:
Win a pair of wristband tickets

CONGRATULATIONS to our contest winner from August:

Brianna Elwood!

When asked how many local wineries/breweries/cideries/distilleries she's visited, Brianna said,

"I've been to MANY but right now only have 2 stamps in my winery passport 😢 hope to get 6 more stamps next weekend!"

Brianna won some peppermint bark from Shokolate Haven, profiled in the October SCOOP.

Who's Fueling FEAST!?

MORE local artists!

We're excited to add a variety of arts activities to the festival fun at FEAST! this year, and adding to that atmosphere, we have a lineup of musicians sure to please a range of tastes.

See one you don't want to miss? Plan accordingly!

10a-12p: Mary DuShane and Nick Jordan, with vintage songs from a range of genres including Appalachian and Celtic.

12p-2p: CBB Jazz Combo, featuring Nathan Davidson on saxophone and Dan "The Piano Man" Rengstorf on keys.

2p-4p: *correction* Jake Ilika and Joel Ward Guitar Duo will offer their smooth guitar grooves and vocal harmonies

We'll have local videographer Ross Ballinger there to record the fun, along with photographer Ashley Aukes of Beruck Studios. And pose for your own #AmericanGothic selfie thanks to this cutout on loan to FEAST! from REAP Food Group, who made it for Farm Aid 2019!

The interactive art will take place in the Mayo Civic Center North Lobby on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 10am - 4pm.

Come PLAY with your FOOD!

This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.

The FEAST! Local Foods Marketplace is a production of the FEAST! Local Foods Network, which is always open to new members.
