DECEMBER 2020  |  VOL. 3, NO. 6

Wishing you safe, healthy and happy holiday celebrations!

May they be full of local foods grown and made by farmers and makers from around our region, when possible!

Got Local?

Thank you for being a part of the FEAST! Online Marketplace!

Small-batch, artisan foods make great holiday gifts, as you already know. Keep in mind that you can order direct from many of the makers, and craft a message or certificate letting someone know they have a food gift on the way!

Here's a reminder of a few ways to find local farms and makers, in addition to what's at your local grocery co-op and winter farmers' market:

Did you see this page at the back of the FEAST! Local Foods Magazine?

The Local Food is Essential (LFiE) website has a variety of links to direct you to finding local foods, as well as the Pledge.
We'd love to see the pledge continue to reach more people. It may be a bit more difficult to access local foods during the winter, but don't forget—foods like pickles and jams are perfectly named "preserves," in that they preserve the harvest.

Just a sampling of the wide range of locally-made food treasures that make excellent gifts!

Pictured above, clockwise from center top: Capra Nera Creamery, B&E's Trees, Daddy Sam's, The Basic Place, Leafy Legacy Herb Farm, Pickle Creek Herbs.

Congratulations to Linda Freedman, who won this local foods gift basket by placing an order with FEAST before the end of Small Business Saturday.

Watch you inbox for our January newsletter, where we'll announce another chance to win a collection like this!
