|space||On Saturday, December 5th, the doors was open to the public for the festival at 9AM.|
|On Friday, December 4th, Feast Local Food Marketplace held its second industry-only tradeshow. Exclusively for food growers, makers, and buyers, the conference offers a range of workshops, access to technical assistance, and plenty of opportunities for networking. Growers and foodmakers gained information on expanding sales, accessing new markets, and scaling up their operations. Buyers learned how to more effectively source more local and regional foods.||Supporters came hungry to the region's second annual local food festival marketplace. Farmers and foodmakers showcased and sold their products at over 100 exhibit booths, chefs demonstrated locally sourced recipes, and more. The festival included a children’s activity area, DIY and healthy living workshops, and a local beer and wine tasting event (additional cost for beer/wine/spirit tasting). Visitors came with their personal wish lists and considered all of the foodies in their lives who'd love a local gift.|
ABOUT FEAST FESTIVAL & TRADESHOW
Feast Festival & Tradeshow was created by the FEAST Local Food Network. The network is a partnership of many organizations, businesses, and individuals committed to growing a sustainable, local and regional food system which encourages innovation.
The event was created to see current local food producers and businesses in Minnesota, Iowa and Wisconsin flourish and new businesses get established. This event gives businesses the opportunity to both connect with the public and buyers through the festival and tradeshow days. By developing a food system that continues to support local producers and foodmakers, we are also supporting the economic development in our region. This event was made to help with the growth!
